Horizons Health and Wellness is a Women’s Health practice managing gynecologic, menopausal, weight, bone health, sexual satisfaction, and nutrition issues with an integrative approach including functional medicine. We also offer a variety of aesthetic services such as laser hair removal, laser treatments for age & sun spots, rosacea, wrinkles, as well as radiofrequency treatments for wrinkles, loose skin, cellulite and body contouring.
Medical Assistants will room patients, obtain and document accurate vital signs, medication lists, and allergy lists on every patient. They will update the patient’s problem list in the electronic medical record, and update the family history, Gyn history, social history, medical and surgical history, etc. MA’s will administer vaccines and other injectable medications, teach patients how to self-inject medications, run pregnancy tests and other urine tests, set up and assist gyn procedures, clean and stock the rooms, order supplies, sterilize instruments, and process specimens. MAs will communicate lab results to patients, answer the phones, help the front desk with scheduling, and manage refill requests. Laser technicians would also perform most of these duties, subject to certification requirements.
The office is open Mondays and Wednesdays 8am-7pm, Tues/Thurs/Fri 8-5:30, and 1-2 Saturdays/month 7:45-12:45
Job Types: Part-time and per-diem
Pay: Rates starting at $19.50 per hour and up based on experience
