Debra Palfrey, PA-C, FAAPA

Debra Palfrey graduated in 1979 from Alderson-Broaddus University in West Virginia, the first year-round 4-year PA program, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Science,and was board-certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants in 1980. She has been re-certified by board exam every 6 years since then. Debbie has practiced OB-GYN for 41 years, through Jordan Hospital in Plymouth and later at South Shore Women’s Health in Weymouth, Whitman, and Plymouth, before joining Horizons Health & Wellness in November 2020.

She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Massachusetts Association of Physician Assistants, and Physician Assistants in OB-GYN. Her special interests are adolescent gynecology, contraceptive and fertility counseling, and menopausal concerns. Deb resides in Duxbury and has 3 grown children and 3 young granddaughters. She loves spending time with her family (especially at the beach), walking, hiking, yoga, Zumba, reading, and photography.


Courtney Peloquin, MS, WHNP-BC

Courtney Peloquin MS, WHNP-BC (Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified) has a passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care to women of all ages.  She is a dedicated practitioner whose clinical interests include educating women on gynecological care and preventive screenings by empowering women to take control of their health and well-being. Special areas of interest include family planning, sexual health, perimenopause and menopause.

Courtney  earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s in degree in Nursing from Regis College in Weston, MA . Courtney is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, The National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, The Menopause Society, and The Massachusetts Coalition  of Nurse Practitioners.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Courtney worked for over 20 years as a labor and delivery nurse in Massachusetts, Georgia, and Florida.

When she is not working, Courtney enjoys cooking vegetarian recipes, hiking, reading and travelling with her favorite human (her teenage daughter Lauren).


Francesco “Frank” Scardigno, Personal Trainer

Frank earned his certificate in personal training from The International Sport Sciences Association in 2011, and has been a practicing Personal Trainer since then. He is currently pursuing a degree in Dietetics. He has a passion for empowering and teaching people how to employ longterm healthy lifestyle habits. This grew from his own personal journey through an unhealthy lifestyle and weight gain while working in corporate project management, which he transformed into a passion for Muay Thai (competitive fighting). He trained and fought out of a nationally ranked and recognized gym in New Jersey for 7 years, all the while researching and implementing various meticulous dietary and nutritional strategies to give him a competitive edge to win! More recently, Frank has been a lead personal trainer at L.A. Fitness, and has opened his own personal training studio.

Frank looks forward to working with clients in individual and group settings to improve health and wellbeing, facilitate weight loss, and decrease pain through physical fitness. As with all of us at Horizons Health & Wellness, Frank feels that life is most rewarding when he can empower people to make lasting changes and watch their lives change for the better.


Dawn Parker, Health Coach

As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Dawn works with clients to reach their health goals. She helps people look and feel their best through nutrition changes and lifestyle strategies for things such as stress reduction, fitness, sleep, reducing toxins and more.

Dawn has a BS in business and spent 17 years in the pharmaceutical industry in sales, training and management. After becoming very passionate about nutrition she went back to school and graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2013.

She does private coaching both in her office in Zionsville, IN and remotely via Skype. Private coaching involves two 45 minute sessions per month over the course of 3-6 months, depending on the person’s starting point and how many health goals they want to achieve. Private coaching packages include communication in between for follow-up, questions, recipes, etc.

Dawn helps her clients that want to eat healthier, but she also helps people get more energy, better sleep, and reduce symptoms like joint pain, headaches, etc. Some of her specialties are autoimmune disease, especially thyroid and digestive disorders, diabetes, cardiovascular issues such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol, food intolerances, gut health, adrenal fatigue and migraines. She has a passion for helping people reduce the toxins in their lives, from their food, personal hygiene products, cleaning products and even in their air and water.

She provides a high level of support and accountability to help people create weekly goals and meet them. Her philosophy is to add small healthy habits over time so they become life-long habits – no diets or drastic overnight changes that are unsustainable.
