About Furbee

Jenny Furbee is a graduate of Bryant University PA Program. She started her career in Pre-hospital Care as a Paramedic in San Antonio, TX.  She was one of the first civilian medics recruited by the US Army to teach the Combat Medic Course at Fort Sam Houston, TX.  For 10 years she worked alongside other civilian and military providers teaching new recruits the skills and focus needed to save lives and manage casualties in the tactical setting.  She strengthened her knowledge of Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine by working for San Antonio EMS Academy teaching the Paramedic program both in the classroom and at the San Antonio Military Medical Center; formerly Brooke Army Medical Center which is a level I trauma center and also a top-tier burn center.  After graduating from PA school, Jenny worked in Interventional Cardiology caring for moderately to critically ill patients.  She continues her desire to teach by working with Bryant University as an Adjunct Professor for the PA program.  Having witnessed close friends both win and lose battles with gynecological cancers, Jenny is dedicated to empowering women, through education and support, to make informed decisions concerning their health. Jenny is also a 200-hour certified yoga instructor and member of First Christian Congregational Church in Swansea, MA.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and two dogs.
